In a bid to reinvigorate the after-dinner experience, Rémy Martin is challenging sommelier and pâtisserie chef teams to create a dessert to be paired with Rémy Martin XO Cognac.
The competition, called #remysprint (Rémy Sommelier Pâtissier Rooted In Talent), hopes to encourage the UK’s top pastry chefs and sommeliers to work together and create something innovative to present to a panel of judges, including two-Michelin-starred Bibendum’s Claude Bosi.
How to enter
First, teams need to submit their entries using this form by 20 May 2019, outlining their initial concept.
The entries will then be shortlisted by a panel of industry judges, with the 12 selected teams being announced on 3 June, followed by an immersive sensorial event on 17 June hosted by Rémy Martin to further inspire their creations.
The final competition will be held on 9 July at Claude Bosi at Bibendum. Teams will present their final concepts to the panel and the five top teams will be revealed, while also confirming that they will feature their winning pairings on their menus from September.
The top five winning pairs will have the chance to present their creations at an exclusive VIP press and influencers event on 16 September. They will then be treated to a luxury trip to Cognac on 20 January 2020, staying in the five-star Chais Monnet hotel and discovering the Rémy Martin cellars with master blender Baptiste Loiseau.
