Hop Stuff Brewery knows how to crowdfund. So much so, it has completed a whopping three rounds of funding, raising over £1.5m in the process.
Last week its latest bash at funding, Funding III, closed in just two days at more than 190% with over 1,000 investors.
‘The reception to funding III has been incredible,’ founder James Yeomans said. ‘We had of course hoped it would be successful, but never imagined funding in just two days. It goes to show how much our message resonates with people, offering uncomplicated and approachable craft beer to more and more people.’
The funds will be pumped into Hop Stuff’s taproom business and help open five more in the next two years.
‘This platform of investors and funds position us perfectly for rapid growth and we’re incredibly excited to see what we can do in 2018,’ Yeomans added.
In 2016, Hop Stuff’s cannily named Funding II helped generate £1.5m for a new brewhouse capable of producing up to 10,000,000 pints a year.
